The Owls will host the Bruins for the second public contest in their history on 8/21
PAPILLION, Neb. (February 20, 2024) – Union Omaha announced today an agreement to host Bellevue University Men’s Soccer at Werner Park for a midseason friendly match on August 21 at 6:30pm.
The two sides last met publicly on August 4, 2021 with the score finishing 1-1. Tickets for the exhibition will be included in all season ticket memberships and available for purchase at tickets.unionomaha.com.
In addition to sport, Bellevue University is a valued partner of both Union Omaha and USL League One. In 2021, Bellevue University and the United Soccer League began an initiative in which Bellevue University annually grants scholarships to each Championship and League One team for a player and staff member to pursue their undergraduate or graduate degrees. Additionally, in partnership with United Black Players, a scholarship is also awarded to a non-profit organization that benefits racially-minoritized youth.
Through this partnership, multiple Union Omaha staff members and players have been fortunate enough to further their educational careers at Bellevue University.
Union Omaha’s home opener is on April 20 against Charlotte Independence at Werner Park. Season ticket memberships and voucher packs for the 2024 season are currently available via UnionOmaha.com or through the Werner Park Ticket Office by calling (402) 738-5100.
