PAPILLION, Neb. (January 11, 2022) – Union Omaha announced today its 2023 USL League One regular season schedule that kicks off in March and runs through mid-October. Coming off a 2022 quarterfinal appearance, the Owls are scheduled to play 16 home matches as part of the full 32-match regular season schedule, the longest in USL League One history.
Union Omaha begins the quest for a fourth straight playoff appearance in 2023 when it welcomes Forward Madison FC on March 25. The Owls will play their first two home matches at Caniglia Field on the University of Nebraska-Omaha campus before hosting Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC on April 29 at Werner Park.
Union Omaha will share the pitch with two new teams for the 2023 season as Lexington Sporting Club and One Knox SC make their USL League One debuts. Knoxville is the first to visit Werner Park when it comes to town on June 21, while Lexington makes its inaugural visit to Omaha on August 2.
Every USL League One team will make at least one trip to the Werner Park pitch. Madison, Knoxville, North Carolina, Richmond and South Georgia are all scheduled to make two trips to Omaha; Greenville, Central Valley, Charlotte, Northern Colorado, Chattanooga and Lexington will visit Werner Park only once during the 2023 regular season.
