Pardo joins the team after 15 years of professional goalkeeping experience
PAPILLION, Neb. (August 12, 2022) – Union Omaha announced today that Boris Pardo will be joining the team as the goalkeeper coach for the remainder of the 2022 season. Pardo has spent time goalkeeping in MLS and the Major Arena Soccer League.
During his collegiate career at Seton Hall, Pardo set the school record for most career shutouts and was named 2006 Big East Goalkeeper of the Year. He then joined the MLS Pool, where he was called up by FC Dallas, Toronto FC and Kansas City. In 2008, Pardo spent a season with the Kansas City reserve team. He went on to play in the indoor MASL, playing for both the Missouri Comets and San Diego Sockers from 2010 to 2022 and was named 2021-22 MASL Goalkeeper of the Year.
“Boris has plenty of experience playing at all levels and will be a great resource for the guys,” Union Omaha head coach Jay Mims said. “I am happy to reconnect with Boris as we have known each other for a long time and will be fun to work together.”
The 2022 League One Championship defending campaign will continue at Werner Park on August 13 vs. Northern Colorado Hailstorm for Singles Night and Women in Sports Night.
